There are moments in gardening that feel big… and then there are moments that feel full circle.
Being featured in the March 2026 issue of Better Homes & Gardens Porches & Gardens issue is one of those moments for us.
And honestly, we’re still processing it.
If you’ve been here for a while, you know this garden didn’t start as anything special. It was a blank, sandy lot in upstate New York. A lot of trial and error. A lot of learning as we went.
So to now see it photographed, styled, and shared in a magazine we’ve flipped through for years… it’s surreal.

The photoshoot itself took two full days, and every minute of it was thoughtfully planned.
We had the absolute privilege of working with Kritsada Panichgul, a well-known home and garden photographer whose work you’ve likely seen more times than you realize.
What stood out most during those two days was this:
He saw our garden differently than we do.
Angles we had never considered. Light we hadn’t noticed. Compositions that made familiar spaces feel brand new.
It was one of the biggest takeaways from the entire experience—sometimes you need to step back and see your garden through fresh eyes.
Interestingly, the interview portion didn’t happen right away.
It came about three months after the photoshoot, once everything had time to settle and the story started to take shape.
That gap gave us a chance to reflect—not just on the garden itself, but on the journey of building it.
Without hesitation: in a heartbeat.
It was one of the most fun, rewarding, and creatively energizing experiences we’ve had.
From styling small details to watching the professionals work their magic, it reminded us why we love this so much in the first place.
Here’s a little fun fact that makes this moment even more meaningful.
The name Grow For Me Gardening actually comes from the song “Grow For Me” in the musical Little Shop of Horrors.
And if you know that show, you might also know another song: “Somewhere That’s Green.”
It’s about dreaming of a life outside the city… in a home that looks like something straight out of a Better Homes & Gardens magazine.
So to now be featured in those very pages?
That’s the definition of full circle.
